Kevin is the head of DragonflyBay Cocker's. Kevin’s experience with dogs began early, shaped by time spent working alongside his father and an early introduction to breeding and field work. His first kennel focused on Jack Russell Terriers, where he gained practical experience in responsible breeding, showing, and hunt testing. Guidance from established breeders during this period helped form a lasting respect for breed standards, sound structure, and thoughtful program development.

Over time, Kevin’s focus expanded beyond breeding alone to include professional training, competitive field work, and guiding. Decades of hands-on experience in the field now inform every aspect of the program, from how dogs are developed, to how they are placed and worked.

Today, Kevin operates a small, purpose driven program centered on working Cocker Spaniels and bespoke guiding services. Cockers are bred and trained with an emphasis on field ability, steadiness, and sound temperament, producing dogs that are capable in the field and mannered in the home.

Guiding is offered on a limited basis and reflects a longstanding commitment to field craft and sporting tradition. Kevin is known for providing discreet, highly tailored days in the field for individuals with discerning expectations. Each outing is carefully planned and conducted at a considered pace, with attention to detail and respect for the land, the dogs, and the sport.

In addition to guiding, Kevin professionally trains dogs and remains actively involved in competitive field work. This ongoing engagement ensures that breeding and training decisions are grounded in practical performance and real standards rather than theory.
